Pop the movie is a video installation that uses a popcorn machine to activate a video projection on the surface of the popped corn. The system is made to merge the temporality of popcorn production from dried corn and the frame rate of cinematographic footage. Every time a new piece of popcorn is produced, a new video frame is displayed.
Pop the movie is a video installation in which pieces of film leave the movie theatre, to be allocated onto an improvised and constantly mutating screen made of popcorn.
